Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract Occupational Therapist (OT) opportunity is available to support elementary school students in a dynamic dual language school setting and an additional nearby school in Waltham, MA. This position focuses on providing occupational therapy services to meet the needs of a diverse student population in a supportive educational environment.
Location:
- Waltham, Massachusetts
- Onsite work at two elementary schools approximately mile apart, including a Dual Language School
Position Details:
- Contract through May 29th, 2026
- Part-time schedule: 24 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
- Immediate availability preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and supports based on individual student needs
- Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to enhance student progress and school participation
- Develop and implement therapy plans that align with school objectives and language diversity considerations
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and progress monitoring in compliance with district standards
- Adapt therapy approaches appropriate to a Dual Language setting, supporting students from varied linguistic backgrounds
Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist licensure
- Experience working within school settings preferred, especially with elementary-aged students
- Comfort and enthusiasm for working in a bilingual or dual language educational environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with school personnel and families
